WHY CONTACT IAN?
- I'm an Approved Driving Instructor RSA-ADI over 3 years
- I've done all three stages of the ADI exams and can advise you exactly how to be successful particularly for Stage 2 & 3
- Sessions available in 1-hour, 1½ hours or 2 hours
- Stage 3 has 2 parts:
When you meet your ADI RSA examiner, you'll go through the usual paperwork by checking your licence. You'll then be given your scenarios for Part 1 & 2. You've a total of 1 hour for the whole exam.
You'll be given a lesson, chosen by the examiner, to teach a new skill to a beginner driver, for example, cockpit drill to a brand new beginner or a turnabout to a learner who can drive but who has never reversed a car.
There are many scenarios you can be given for both parts. Preparation and some guidance and advice from an ADI like myself will be key to passing Stage 3.
- PART 1:Teach a new skill to a beginner and ability to instruct or develop it to a competent level in just 30 minutes. You must do this with the use of teaching aids and good communication skills and a friendly manner.
- PART 2: Ability to assess and explain faults in a individual's driving or a driving test applicant. You'll be given a scenario when you have to explain what they did wrong and how to improve the specific problem. You must also do this with the use of teaching aids and good communication skills and a friendly manner.
