Do you think it is natural for a complete beginner who has NEVER driven a car before to drive on a main road on or at the end of their first driving lesson?

Do you think they will be driving on their own and in full control of the vehicle?

Do you think it is fair to say they will be unbelievably nervous?

Do you think the driving instructor is operating the car with the dual controls? YES!!

A driving instructor who has a COMPLETE BEGINNER behind the wheel on the first driving lesson is driving the car FOR YOU!
This gives the learner driver a complete false sense of security.

2 HOURS IS REQUIRED FOR THE FIRST LESSON OF A COMPLETE BEGINNER.
Learning to drive should be a structured process with step-by-step development. I don't agree with bringing brand nervous beginners on the road or driving home on their very first or second lesson unless he/she is what I call "AN ADVANCED BEGINNER"

WHY? Because is it not better for the learner to drive the car reasonably comfortably with the help of the instructor?

If the your driving instructor is controlling the clutch for you or using the dual controls the whole time you’re being charged for a lesson when you are not LEARNING! You must be allowed to master the clutch on your own.
