MOTORWAY DRIVING LESSONS

So you have passed your Driving Test – CONGRATULATIONS!


You have no experience of driving on a motorway but your life, job, location of your home or your lifestyle means you must now use a motorway... Nervous?

Nearly everyday you hear of a crash on a motorway. CRASHES & ACCIDENTS DO NOT JUST HAPPEN!

A two-hour session with SAFETY 1ST DRIVING SCHOOL will give you the confidence you need to keep yourself, your passengers and all other road users SAFE AND ACCIDENT FREE.

Motorway Driving Lessons only available to holders of a FULL VALID DRIVING LICENCE and are conducted in the client's car.

COST: The cost is €80 for two hours.
We will cover:

• Confidence and experience at higher speeds

• Motorway Signs and road works

• Use of gears i.e 5th gear for more performance and fuel economy

• Joining and leaving a motorway

• Safe speed and braking distance using the two-second rule

• Anticipating what other drivers may do i.e changing lanes without indicating

• Lane discipline and how to safely change lanes using the correct observation and signals.

• Planning your journey in good and position in the correct lane at the right time.

• Adverse weather conditions and the affect it has on visibility, stability and braking distance

• Driving fatigue and use or hard shoulder.
