No Car SharingWhen learning to drive over 12 yrs ago I used to start my driving lesson by driving my instructor's client's home before I got to start MY lesson and then normally I would finish at the next client's home and they would start their lesson by bringing ME home!! Sound familiar?
Do you think you're getting value for money when your valuable time driving a complete stranger home and then driving to the next client's house?
Do you think it is right that you pay good money for your lessons where you've to drive another person home when you should be getting the full allocated time ALONE with your instructor?
If you're only beginning to learn would the fact that another person is sitting on the back seat that you never met in your life put you off and make you more nervous? It made ME very nervous but I thought it was the same for everyone.
This is called CAR SHARING where the instructor gets more lessons in, and saves time and petrol at your expense!
This kind of thing DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH ALL DRIVING SCHOOLS! It is completely unprofessional and unfair to the paid customer and any driving school or instructor who continues to do this will not last in this business.
You're paying for a full hour or maybe 2 hrs of 1-on-1 tuition with your driving instructor and there should be nobody else in the car at the time of your lesson.
My Advice:
DO NOT TAKE DRIVING LESSONS FROM A DRIVING SCHOOL OR INSTRUCTOR WHO INSISTS THAT YOU SHARE YOUR LESSON WITH A COMPLETE STRANGER!!!
With Safety 1st Driving School THERE IS NO CAR SHARING and the only time there will ever be another passenger in the car at the same time as your lesson or pre-test is:
• When I am being annually check-tested by the RSA as part of being an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor)
OR
• When I may be teaching a DRIVING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE where I may from time to time invite a TRAINEE DRIVING INSTRUCTOR on a lesson or a pre-test with the client's consent.
THANK YOU
