• The pre-test course is only €160 but you'll save a fortune on your insurance premium when you pass.

WHEN YOU PASS

Your signed RSA Certificate of Competency

Fill in your Full Licence Application form at your local tax office

All information you need is on the form

Ring your insurance company for reduced insurance premium quote

Refund of your remainder of your policy as a fully licensed driver

IF YOU FAIL

The driver tester will give you a STATEMENT OF FAILURE. Keep it in a safe place because it is proof that you attempted the driving test in case you need it to renew your provisional licence/learner permit.

It wasn't your day and you didn't drive as well as you can

You were too nervous because it was your first attempt

You didn't have enough time to prepare or maybe you applied too early

You didn't do any pre-test lessons with an ADI instructor

You got a busy time in the afternoon i.e 2.05pm making it harder to pass

You were unlucky and you had alot of hazards to deal with

You had to change to another vehicle last minute and you werent used to it

These are some of the most common factors why test applicants fail the test but it is really down to a lack of preparation. It is not the end of the world and you should apply again straight away. Don't let it beat you, but I recommend you call me for to bring your current driving ability to test standard.
