I was a complete beginner before i got a set of 10lessons off Ian. I remember waiting for him to collect me from my first lesson, i was so nervous but the minute i met Ian he put me at ease and i felt completely relaxed for the whole lesson. Its fair to say now after completing a set of lessons, i can not only drive with confidence but i feel i could handle any situation on the road as his lessons were well varied, well structured and well tailored to my personal ability. I couldn't talk more highly of Ian and will definitely be recommending him to my friends. The best thing about his lessons (besides his remarkable patience :) ) was the fact that he always emphasised that it was YOU that was driving and used the dual control only when completely necessary, so when i finally drove on my own it wasn't such a shock that Ian wasn't there! Thanks a million, See you in January for Pre-Tests!!

I have so far have done ten hours of lessons. I am very pleased with the quality of the instruction and guidance. Safety First has offered a very professional service at a competitive price. I'm very impressed with the easy and straight forward nature of the instruction, and this has suited me perfectly as a complete beginner driver. Already I feel confident at driving and I will be recommending Ian as an instructor to my friends on passing their theory tests.

I was extremely pleased to have Ian as my driving instructor. I took 4 lessons with him and pass my driving test from my first attempt...in Raheny (!!!) thanks to his lessons and suggestions regarding my bad habits on the clutch, traffic regulations, road signs etc. It should be mentioned that Ian has great teaching skills, making me feel confident and safe during my driving. Thanks once again for his efficient and friendly services. I highly can recommend him to everyone preparing for the test.

The greatest praise for Ian at Safety First for helping me pass my driving test! Ian is an excellent instructor and needed to be as I was a nervous and frustrated learner!! Ian taught me to become a confident driver and enjoy driving. He is very patient and very thorough. He knows the Raheny route like the back of his hand - I was more than prepared for Raheny and surroundings on the day of my test. It's a pity I did not find an instructor like Ian at Safety First earlier as I had failed my test twice previously...Ian made me believe I could do it and for that I am very grateful. Keep up the great work and thanks.

I completed 10 lessons with Ian at Safety 1st. I started as a complete beginner having never driven before. By the end of the 10 well varied lessons I was confident in saying that i could drive. I took my test in the Raheny test center and I passed on my first time of trying. I would highly recommending Safety 1st to anyone I know who wishes to learn how to drive. I would like to thank Ian again for teaching me the valuable skill of driving.

With Safety First I was able to eliminate my bad driving habbits and get up to driving test standard very quickly. Ian had an excellent knowlegde of all the test routes around the Raheny test centre and also of the driving standard required to pass the test. I did both my test and lessons in the his driving school car which I found very comfortable to drive. I would recommend him to anyone learning to drive or for anyone with an upcoming test. Cheers Ian

I'd highly recommend Safety 1st Driving School. Ian is an excellent instructor with a very positive attitude that put me at ease straight away. Ian's lessons are well structured and will have you driving to test standard in no time. After taking lessons with Ian I felt I was a much more confident and safe driver with the knowledge and ability to pass the test.

I took a course of lessons with Ian. I had driving lessons before with someone else but I had lost interest and never went any further. I decided to start afresh. Having read about Ian on his website and hearing about him from a friend i decided to take lessons with him. Ian is so patient and understanding. I had the basic knowledge but he went over everything from scratch, and gave demonstrations which really helped. Bringing me on a lesson into town really boosted my confidence. I never thought I would own a car, and when my lessons ended I was that confident, that I bought a car a couple of weeks later. I was terrified of hill starts but Ian kept making me do them until I eventually got the hang of it. He has made me the confident driver that I am today. Thank you Ian!

'I found my lessons with Ian to be very helpful. His explanations were clear and concise, and left me knowing exactly what I had to do and what not to do. Whenever I did something wrong he showed me what I was doing wrong, why I was doing it wrong, and most importantly, exactly how to fix it. After each lesson I felt more confident as a driver, and my standard rocketed over the space of a few lessons (I had previously gone to another instructor) I would naturally recommend him for anyone wishing to learn how to become a confident assured driver.

I was delighted with the services Safety First provided as I learned to drive. Ian gave me the skills required to approach the test in Finglas with confidence and he had great with tips and advice. He was also very competitively priced. I would certainly recommend Ian for starting off or preparing for the test.

I contacted Ian two days before my driving test was due to take place in Raheny test centre; I carried out a pre-test with him the day before my test. This pre-test not only allowed me to get a feel for what the real test would be like but also taught me much more than I expected.
I initialy failed my pre-test; ian then demonstrated in the next hour the areas I went wrong allowing me to take notes on these and then I got some time to practice these areas while also covering the routes in the Raheny area. The following day I also took one hour with Ian before my test; not only did he show me more routes which the testers may take but it also meant all my bad habits were fresh in my mind so I knew what exactly to concentrate on and it helped ease the nerves before hand.
This was really beneficial to me, I honestly think without Ians help I would be repeating my driving test in a months time. However thanks to Ian all went well and I passed my test first time. My tester directed me around one of the routes Ian had showed me that morning and I was prepared for all obstacles. I sincerely reccomend lessons or a pre-test with Ian; if he can help get me through it he can help anyone :D

I would recommend Ian as a driving instructor as he was very easy to talk to and explained everything before you started, and, when you were in the middle of your lessons. Also, instead of telling you what not to do, he would show you and point out what can go wrong.
One of the things that I really liked in my driving lessons was that Ian explained everything from the cars point of view. For example, what makes the car cut out if I bring up the clutch too fast.
I had never driven a car before I started with Ian, but after 10 lessons he puts you at ease and gives you the confidence you need to drive without making you nervous. Thanks
