I had 5 lessons with Ian. He was excellent. Very helpful and patient. I felt confident doing my test after my lessons with him and I passed first time in his car in Finglas. I would definitely recommend Ian to any of my friends who need lessons or pre tests.

I just passed my test today in Raheny and its all because of Ian. I had lessons before with another instructor and I felt very unprepared for my first exam. Obviously I failed but I was blaming myself for it because, as I thought, the rules of the road are the same, so would be the instructors (i mean, how could they teach different things if they all obey the same rules) ... I couldn’t be more wrong...they all have different methods but unfortunatelly some of them are not as good as the others. I took only 3 hours with Ian and he made me understand what I was doing wrong. In such a great way he explained and demonstrated all of my mistakes (thats the part I really appreciated the most) I was driving for 40 mins and after that Ian drove exactly the same route showing me how it should be done properly and where I made mistakes...as simple as it sounds, its extremely helpful, but not many instructors are doing it as far as I know. Also Ian showed me a few things which made me much more prepared, and even more importantly, confident about my test. He explained the what tester is expecting from me, and what to watch out for. I can’t thank him enough!!! To anyone looking for a great instructor, you are on right website! Best of luck !

I recently passed my driving test on the 12th December 2011 in Raheny. One main reason I passed my driving test was because I had a really good driving instructor. His name is Ian. I had 5 lessons with Ian and he really helped me to improve my knowledge of the road and of my car. He was very helpful and understanding with me. The day of my test, i had my final lesson with him, and he offered me some words of encouragement, this settled my nerves and I passed my test.Cheers Ian.

After spending a lot of time and money with another instructor (from reputable driving school), I failed my first test in Finglas. After that I was lucky enough to find Ian from Safety 1st who helped me to pass my second test in Finglas with almost clean sheet after just 4 lessons with him in his driving school car. I took four hours of lesson from Ian. Before taking the lesson, I was having the feeling that I won't pass the exam. But every little tips he gave me were very much helpful and made me at ease. Thank God....I passed the test in the first attempt in Finglas. My driving was spoiled with all the bad habits but he gave me insights in to all of these. He won't lose his temper even if you make any mistake. If you make a note on all the advises and tips on your bad habits, definitely you will pass. A lesson from him just before your test is highly recommended.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help in passing my recent driving test on first attempt at Raheny test centre.
Since receiving only 4 weeks notice of my upcoming test I knew we had our work cut out for us.... having learned to drive a number of years ago, I had plenty of bad habits that needed rectifying.
Your approach was intuitive, firstly identifying my current driving ability then coaching to rectify faults...... this instruction allowed us to tailor the exact type of instruction that was required & making optimum use of the limited instruction time available.
On the test day I was happy with my confidence level albeit nervous I believed I had the confidence required to pass first time.

I took a course of 10 lessons from Ian as a complete beginner. He clearly explained all functions of the car and made me feel at ease before I sat in the driving seat. Throughout my lessons Ian explained in detail each manoeuvre, answered any questions I may have had and demonstrated it before I carried it out. Ian was always very patient and made each lesson relaxed and enjoyable. He built up my confidence by praising me when I was doing well and stopping me from picking up any bad habbits. I would highly recommend Ian as a driving instructor to anybody looking for driving lessons. I'll see you when im ready for my pre-tests! Thanks Ian!

I did my pre-test with Ian a week before my actual test and he really opened my eyes to all the mistakes i was making. My pre-test scoresheet was a disaster, so i listened to everything Ian had to say, practiced and did another pre-test with him a few days before my test, Ian did a great demonstration of one of the Finglas routes, explaining every manoeuvre in detail and i listened and learned, and passed my test first time. Thanks Ian.

I passed my driving test on Thursday the 7th of July 2011, in the Finglas driving test centre. I had 4 hours of driving lessons and 2 hours of pretest lessons. Ian was a great driving instructor and I learned a lot from him. I really liked his technique of mixing the lessons with the pretests. I got my last pretest the hour before the real thing and would recommend this to anyone doing the test. Ian is very thorough and very professional. Thanks for helping me pass.

When I passed my stage 2 of my ADI process, I wanted to find a good Instructor with good qualifications, and a passion and enthusiasm for the job, to assist with my stage 3..
After doing my research, I came across Ian’s website. Noting his qualifications, and history, I decided to contact Ian.
Upon speaking with Ian as regards to stage 3 training, I found him very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative.
Ian then arranged some training sessions for me, prior to my exam.
I found his manner and method of teaching, very encouraging and enthusiastic. He imparts his knowledge in an easy going manner which I found assisted my learning process immensely.
Thanks to Ian’s assistance, I successfully passed my stage 3 with a score of 94%.
I would not hesitate in recommending Ian to anybody, for instructor training.

Ian was a great driving instructor for me, he knew the specific requirements for passing the test in Finglas and due to this I managed to pass first time. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants a no fuss learning experience, if you learn with Ian you have a strong chance of passing first time.

Thanks for the great lessons, I hadn't driven in over 5 years but after some lessons with Ian from Safety 1st I was able to pass the test in Finglas first time. The routes covered really helped as these were the exact routes used on the test. That familiarity really gave me confidence and helped pass the test with ease. I'd definitely recommend Ian for driving lessons and pretests.

I would like to give the credit to Ian Daly (Safety first) for my success in passing my driving test in Finglas today. The lessons that I got from Ian was very easy since I am a Filipino,direct to the point and were very important to my success today and to my driving in the future. Ian is very patient,well mannered, professional man and made me comfortable as I only had 9 months of driving experience.I had 5 lessons with Ian and it's well worth it. His prices are very affordable compared to ISM. I highly recommend Ian as a driving instructor if you want to pass your driving test. I receive only 5 marks in my driving test. I was doing my test for the first time and was very nervous . I really didn't think I would past due to all my bad habits. So I took a three hour intensive lesson with Ian before my test. He eased all my nerves and knocked all those bad habits out of me. He is very patient and actually cares if you pass or fail. I took the test in Finglas in his car and past the first time and I know that a would not have passed if it wasn't for him. DON'T do your test without these lessons. It was money well spent and I don't have to worry about doing another test!

I would just like to thank Ian as i passed my driving test in Raheny yesterday 1st time, i dont think i could of done it with out him, he gave me great tips on everything i needed to know about the test, i only booked 3 pretests with ian and hired his car for the test as well. i would defintely recommend ian and his prices are very good.

I did my test today in Raheny and well and truly passed - with only one blue mark on the marking sheet. I have to thank Ian for all his help in getting me there. I contacted Ian only a week before i sat the test and he was very accomodating in fitting me in wherever he could. Also his prices are very reasonable and well worth the money. Ian was very positive, easy going and very patient...... i needed things to be repeated and repeated before they sink in:)
I had previously done lessons with another driving school and was not made aware of half of the possible routes around the Raheny area and sometimes had no idea why i was repeating the same mistakes. Ian showed me exactly what i was doing wrong and explained in detail how to change my mistakes.I would highly recommend Ian as a driving instructor. Thanks so much!

As a complete beginner I took 11 lessons with Ian at Safety 1st. Having never driven a car before I was quite nervous waiting for Ian to pick me up for my first lesson. I need not have worried. Ian took control of the first lesson, got me familiar with the car, went through all the safety points and made me feel at ease before I sat behind the wheel. He explained each and every manoeuvre in full detail and made sure I fully understood it and felt comfortable before I carried it out, by lesson three I was driving myself home which is something I never thought I would achieve so soon but with Ian's expert knowledge and his patience, my confidence was gradually building and I began looking forward to each lesson. I would definitely recommend Ian to anyone whether they are a complete beginner like me or someone looking to pass their driving test. Learning to drive can be quite nerve racking but Ian is a complete professional with the patience of a saint and makes you feel at total ease. I am currently enjoying getting out and about driving and it is all down to Ian. I cant recommend Ian enough and I will be going back to him when the time comes to take my driving test. Thanks Ian.

I took 10 a course of lessons with Ian as a complete novice driver. He was patient and explained everything in great detail. He didn't drop me into the deep end too soon and slowly built my confidence until I was comfortable doing all my manoeuvres. After I had been driving myself for a few months I took a further 3 lessons to make sure I wasn't picking up any bad habits. He explained everything clearly and pointed out any flaws in what I was doing. He never once during the 13 lessons lost his cool or caused me to be stressed. I would highly recommend him as a driving instructor!

I found Ian`s driving lessons very good. I started out as a complete beginner and by the end of my lessons (11) I am now a adequate and confident driver. Ian goes through each process slowly and clearly and every detail is covered to insure you do not pick up any bad habits. For that reason I would recommend him to any one thinking of getting driving lessons.

I had been driving nearly 2 years before booking my driving test in Finglas. I had developed a lot of bad driving habits, that I knew myself would affect the outcome of my driving test. I decided to book some lessons and couple of pre-test lesson with Ian from Safety First driving school.
Ian was very friendly and helpful. He really has patience of a saint, especially with someone who is very much coasting the clutch while driving. Ian helped me to get out of using my bad habits as a safety net for driving, he also helped me develop my confidence while driving as well as being aware and safe on the road. I am happy to say I passed my test first time in Finglas, and this would not have been possible had I not had these lessons with Ian.
I would recommend SAFETY FIRST for first time lessons and pre test lessons. Ian takes the time to ensure you are fully prepared for any questions or obstacles you may face in your test on the day.

My name is Peter Kennaugh, I had my pre-test lessons with Ian from SAFETY FIRST in finglas , I had three lessons in three days plus I hired his car for the test. He was extremely helpful , friendly and very easy to understand also got me out of my silly habits I had which I would have failed my test on. I would recommend SAFETY FIRST for first time lessons and pre test lessons really helped me alot and made me more aware of everything on the road , I'm happy to say I passed on my first time in Finglas thanks to Ian. Worth every penny!!

I have done pre-test lessons with Ian and I have passed my test with flying colours in Finglas. Honestly I was not surprised after only few lessons I felt confident about my driving and improved a lot. The good thing about Ian is that his standard of instruction is much higher than the expectation of official testers so you will not have any problems with the actual test. As a person he is a great lad and always easy to talk. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in any driving lessons.

I took a course of pre test lessons with Ian, after about 30 hours lessons from another school (In which I didn't learn much).
When I started with Ian I had no confidence and had very poor driving skills even for the most basic things like changing gears.
Ian was patient and very thorough, if I could not do something he would make me do it over and over again until the move was perfect.
He explained everything very clearly and patiently. I cannot recommend him highly enough. With Ian I became a "driver" and passed my test first time.

I took lessons with Ian from safety first driving school and found them to be really helpful. I learned all the basics for learning to drive, and I feel a lot more confident now about going out on the road by myself. I had no experience in driving before taking the lessons with Ian, and now feel that I have enough experience and confidence to start driving by myself. I became less nervous on the road with each lesson, and Ians friendly approach to teaching really helped. I would recomend taking lesons with Ian for anybody who wanted to learn how to drive, or even just wanted to gain more experience, they helped a lot.

I took a course of ten lessons with Ian from Safety First Driving School and I was very happy with what I learned. I began with no driving experience, however the range of lessons covered most driving skills, including nearly all those tested in the local driving test centre. Although I was nervous learning at first I am now a competent and confident driver. The price was competitive and I would highly recommend the course.

I was a complete beginner before i got a set of 10lessons off Ian. I remember waiting for him to collect me from my first lesson, i was so nervous but the minute i met Ian he put me at ease and i felt completely relaxed for the whole lesson. Its fair to say now after completing a set of lessons, i can not only drive with confidence but i feel i could handle any situation on the road as his lessons were well varied, well structured and well tailored to my personal ability. I couldn't talk more highly of Ian and will definitely be recommending him to my friends. The best thing about his lessons (besides his remarkable patience :) ) was the fact that he always emphasised that it was YOU that was driving and used the dual control only when completely necessary, so when i finally drove on my own it wasn't such a shock that Ian wasn't there! The greatest praise for Ian at Safety First for helping me pass my driving test! Ian is an excellent instructor and needed to be as I was a nervous and frustrated learner!! Ian taught me to become a confident driver and enjoy driving. He is very patient and very thorough. I took a course of lessons with Ian. I had driving lessons before with someone else but I had lost interest and never went any further. I decided to start afresh. Having read about Ian on his website and hearing about him from a friend i decided to take lessons with him. Ian is so patient and understanding. I had the basic knowledge but he went over everything from scratch, and gave demonstrations which really helped. Bringing me on a lesson into town really boosted my confidence. I never thought I would own a car, and when my lessons ended I was that confident, that I bought a car a couple of weeks later. I contacted Ian two days before my driving test was due to take place in Raheny test centre; I carried out a pre-test with him the day before my test. This pre-test not only allowed me to get a feel for what the real test would be like but also taught me much more than I expected.
I initialy failed my pre-test; ian then demonstrated in the next hour the areas I went wrong allowing me to take notes on these and then I got some time to practice these areas while also covering the routes in the Raheny area. The following day I also took one hour with Ian before my test; not only did he show me more routes which the testers may take but it also meant all my bad habits were fresh in my mind so I knew what exactly to concentrate on and it helped ease the nerves before hand.
This was really beneficial to me, I honestly think without Ians help I would be repeating my driving test in a months time. However thanks to Ian all went well and I passed my test first time. My tester directed me around one of the routes Ian had showed me that morning and I was prepared for all obstacles. I sincerely reccomend lessons or a pre-test with Ian; if he can help get me through it he can help anyone :D

I would recommend Ian as a driving instructor as he was very easy to talk to and explained everything before you started, and, when you were in the middle of your lessons. Also, instead of telling you what not to do, he would show you and point out what can go wrong.
One of the things that I really liked in my driving lessons was that Ian explained everything from the cars point of view. For example, what makes the car cut out if I bring up the clutch too fast.
I had never driven a car before I started with Ian, but after 10 lessons he puts you at ease and gives you the confidence you need to drive without making you nervous. Thanks
